Longhorn roundup: Barnes entertains top recruits
Xavier Henry, rated the No. 2 high school junior boys basketball player in America by Rivals.com, is expected to visit the University of Texas this weekend. Xavier Henry, from Oklahoma City, is a 6-foot-6-inch guard. Shawn Williams, a 6-6 forward from Duncanville, also might visit Texas this weekend.
Xavier Henry will make an unofficial visit to the Longhorns. Players are prohibited from taking official paid visits until they are seniors.
He is expected to be accompanied by his brother, C.J., a minor-league baseball player who had committed to play basketball at Kansas in 2005 before choosing baseball. C.J. Xavier Henry is reportedly considering giving up baseball to play college basketball.
Texas does not have any commitments from the high school class of 2008, but several players are considering the Longhorns.
