Basketball recruiting
Clarke, Page top list of locals
The 2009 recruiting class in Oklahoma high schools is already starting to garner plenty of attention, thanks to players like Daniel Orton and Xavier Henry. But there's some talent in the 2008 class that can't be ignored. Here's a look at the five best seniors in the state this year:
•PG Rotnei Clarke, Verdigris, 6-0, 175: Possibly the top shooter in the nation. OU, Tulsa and ORU still in the running.
•PG Keiton Page, Pawnee, 5-10, 168: Great off the dribble and can shoot. Committed to OSU
•F James Watson, Stringtown, 6-8, 185: Talented and athletic, will have to develop perimeter game for the next level.
•G Ken Holman, Tulsa East Central, 6-0, 174: Great effort player, a bit undersized. Committed to Missouri State
•G Nic Combs, Edmond Santa Fe, 5-11, 170: Great quickness, could be a steal in someone's recruiting class.
